This summer, the Ertz Family Foundation had the extraordinary opportunity to support Timoteo Sports’ (www.timoteosports.org) summer camp. Armed with masks, temperature checks, and super powers from their Ertz Family Foundation sponsored Timoteo t-shirts, the campers (ages 8-15) from North Philadelphia had the necessary outlet to feel connected to each other, run around in the heat, and feel God’s love in their lives.
This is just so good and exactly what our hearts needed, to see the excitement and joy of these young campers!
A huge thank you to Pastor Rob Whitmire, Executive Director of Timoteo who connected Zach and Julie Ertz to Timoteo’s courageous mission, their entire staff for braving the warmer than normal temperatures, and to Philadelphia’s Police and SWAT teams who came out to meet the kids and talk to them about the powerful relationships that can be built in their community.
We are all so focused on ways to support the community through youth sports opportunities—giving kids a crucial outlet to play and learn. We were thrilled to support Pastor Rob and these campers.
