Zach Ertz is having a historic season on and off the field.
The 28-year-old tight end has 84 catches for 895 yards and six touchdowns through 11 games, and could become just the fourth tight end ever to record 100 receptions in a single-season.
But off of the field, Ertz’s impact has been just as big, if not bigger as he has raised $47,796 and counting to create educational opportunities in Philadelphia through the Ertz Family Foundation.
Earlier this month, the Ertz Family Foundation launched a charitable campaign with Chegg, an education tech company, focused on education. For every touchdown Ertz scorer, Chegg will donate $1,086 to the foundation and $860 for every first down.
“We understand that it took a village to get us to where we are today and we want to be a part of another kid’s village,” Ertz said in a video released by Chegg on Twitter.
Thank you, Zach. Philadelphia is lucky to have you.
