Making Every Catch Count With PledgeIt

By September 4, 2018 September 8th, 2018 No Comments

Zach Ertz is making sure that every catch he makes for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles this season counts for something.

As one of the first initiatives of the Ertz Family Foundation, Zach has launched the ‘Catches for the Community’ fundraising campaign on Pledge It.

Every catch Zach makes during the 2018 regular season, will, with the help of fans, raise funds for the Ertz Family Foundation “City of Love Fund.” The City of Love Fund is a grant-making program that will support local Philadelphia and surrounding area charities that align with the foundation’s three pillars of service areas: youth sports, education and family.

Zach and Julie Ertz are kicking off the campaign by donating $100 per catch to begin on Thursday, September 4th when the Eagles welcome the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL season opener.

“There is no better fan in all of sports than our fans,” Zach said. “We are excited to see all the work we can do together to make sure that my catches this season make a difference in our communities.”

Fans can match Zach and Julie’s pledge or make a pledge of any amount for every catch that Zach has throughout the regular season. Fans can also make a one-time donation.

Additionally, fans can create a fundraising team for the campaign and the fan with the most funds raised has the opportunity to win campaign incentives including a signed Zach Ertz jersey and a chance to meet Zach at a game and take a picture with his Super Bowl Ring.
